My 15yo son will be starting public high school after 10 years of homeschooling, and we wanted to make sure he could seamlessly transition into the school's math classes. Phil's tutoring has been invaluable: he evaluates strengths and weaknesses. He communicates thoroughly with parents. He comes to sessions prepared with an arsenal of exercises, sample problems, and ideas to get my son thinking. No doubt his background as a teacher has given him many of these skills, but it has also made him a wealth of insightful advice to us as parents. Daughter needed a good grade on the final to pass the class. Phil came and helped her study for an hour and a half the night before, and she did great on the test and passed the class! Very personable and funny as well, which definitely helps with a 14 yr old.
